Hello,
Thank you to anyone who has subscribed to my channel over the years and to viewers who have returned to watch my videos. If you are new to the channel, it would be greatly appreciated for a like, comment and to hit the subscribe button.
Over the years I have made videos including: Family Attractions, Music Festivals including South Tyneside music festival. When the children were younger we bought a High Gear tent and porch and experienced camping and learning how to pitch the tent. When the Great North City cames came to Newcastle and Gateshead, it was great to be able to capture the likes of Gregg Rutherford competing in the long jump. It was always an action packed weekend with the Great North Run, which included Mo Farah and the Great North City games.
2021 /2022 saw a change in direction, whereby I had to make a stand and show the protests in the North in reaction to the governmental restrictions and mandates.
2023 will have more new content.

LEEDS WATER TAXI - The Views along the River Aire

Leeds Water taxi goes from the Dock to Leeds Train station, along the River Aire. The boat can take you from the nearby Leeds train Station to the Leeds Dock and vise versa. Next to the dock is the Royal Armouries Museum, the Canary Bar and the Holiday Inn Express. Also beside the dock along the dockside is the Pomnik Statue.
SKIPTON - BOATS ON THE CANAL

Skipton is a market town, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The Leeds and Liverpool canal runs through Skipton. Here in this video shows all the life and activity you will find on the canal, with canal boats hired and skippered boats trips.

We visited Bingley Five rise Locks on the Leeds and Liverpool canal. We walked along the toe-path and took in the lovely views and scenery. We visited the cafe and had tea and cake. We asked if there was a boat scheduled to go through the locks and the man said there was one due to go at 1pm. at the end of the video you can see the boat moored up in front of the cafe. We hired a canal boat from Skiptons Pennine Cruisers in North Yorkshire for 2 hours. We hired it for the early evening.You can hire it for longer on the night time and also can hire for all day.

This is the seventh and eighth day of looking after a baby pigeon I found in my back yard. After being missing from his nest the previous day, he returns when I check the next morning. I think he must have found a hiding spot, which I didn't know at the time. He is losing some of his golden feathers on his chest.

This is the sixth day of looking after a baby pigeon I found in my back yard. I clean out his nest in the greenhouse and replace what is needed. He takes the seeds from the Ramekin. I show what I am feeding him. The pigeon goes missing, during the day, no-where to be seen. Even when I check late at night, it still hasn't returned to the nest.

Thank you for taking us along for the ride, really enjoyed the scenes of nature, especially with the lambs and ducks. Would love to know whether you would recommend this experience for a family of 4 with older kids. Also would love to know what you thought about the boat, as I'm considering hiring a day boat with similar looking boat. Thank you
It was a learning curve, we hadn't hired a canal boat before. Having more than 2 people would be an advantage. As there are more people that can do things. I wouldn't go along a canal where you would need to go through a loch, unless there are manned staff to help. We didn't use any facilties on the boat as we were only on it for 2 hours. I don't know if any of that helps, but it is a learning experience. I hope you have a good time if you hire a boat. If you get the chance let me know how it was for you and your family. xx

My family used to live on Bromley Road overlooking the canal between the 5 lock rise and 3 lock rise. I went to Bingley Grammar School until 1970. You look as though you all had an amazing experience on the barge.

Hey thank you for saving the pigeon. He really needs to eat and drink more though. It's not uncommon for baby pigeons to eat more then their weight in food each day, and I'm afraid unless he learns to peck seeds. Right now he's a bit too young to peck seeds. Even when they start pecking they need food from Mom for a while. Easiest way is cut a small hole into a bag with seeds, ideally bag should have some water in it. Then just guide his beak into the hole. This simulates how his mother feeds him and he will pig out! But you may need to keep his head firmly in the hole. For water just guide his beak into a dish of water. He needs at least 500ml AP day. He will struggle a bit when you grab his head to get it in the hole. But after a day or two he will regard you as mom and start doing it himself.
Thankyou for your advice. He disappeared yesterday and I thought he was gone for good, but when I checked the greenhouse this morning, he was there. He had returned and was sitting on his little nest. He is taking food from the dish by himself now. I have water for him as weel. Not sure how much of it he is drinking, but I have seen him drink from it.

Correct! Shields are much more durable than people realize. A spear maybe you'll go through more than one in a battle but still they are pretty tough.

Incredibly wrong about shields. They aren't heavy but they aren't light. Also they're incredibly durable and you wouldn't be going through seven or eight in a battle
